Scientists theorize that dreams are the brain presenting abstract images in an effort to attribute meaning to the complexity of waking life. The visual poetry of bodies and the street plucks the passerby out of their habits of urban traversal, and activates a lizard-brain-sharp reawakening of the surrounding environment. Duets with rusty fences, extended conversations (without a single word exchanged) between performer and passerby, and the experience of surprise compel presence in the spectator. It is a tactic of discovery of the invisible world through which we pass on a daily basis.
